On 9-10 December, 2022, the University of Electro-Communications（UEC）, together with Le Quy Don Technical University（LQDTU） and ECTI Association, organized the international workshops “The 4th ASEAN - UEC Workshop on Informatics and Engineering, Collaboration with ECTI Computer & Information Technology and IEEE Computer Society” and “The 9th UEC Seminar in ASEAN, 2022”.

“The 4th ASEAN - UEC Workshop on Informatics and Engineering, Collaboration with ECTI Computer & Information Technology and IEEE Computer Society” was held in a hybrid session, with local venues at Burapa University（BUU）in Thailand, LQDTU in Vietnam, and the rest, including our university, participating from online via ZOOM, connecting the 2 local venues via ZOOM.

The first half of this workshop began with opening remarks by representatives from the BUU, ECTI Association, and our university, followed by 5 invited speakers from Asia and Spain.

In the second half, 36 poster presentations were given in an online session, by students and young researchers from ASEAN and UEC. Participants were then split into local and online venues, with a Q&A session held at each venue. There were approximately 80 participants in total on - site and online.

This was the first workshop to be held at local venues after the COVID pandemic, and significant for ASEAN and UEC students as it gave them the opportunity to present their research at an international conference in an online environment.
