Report：Prof. Sebastian Link, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Science, University of TaAuckland, Visits UEC

On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, Prof. Sebastian Link, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Science at the University of Auckland, visited the University of Electro-Communications（UEC）and met with several UEC executive members including President Tano and Dr. Oya, the board member. After greetings and self-introductions, they exchanged opinions on future cooperation between UEC and the University of Auckland. Discussions focused on promoting exchanges and cooperation centered on student exchanges, including exchange programs and internships, as well as research collaboration.

Prof. Link then visited UEC's Minoshima Laboratory（Department of Engineering Science） and Takahashi Laboratory（Department of Informatics）.

UEC held the "UoA - UEC Trans-Pacific Symposium on Advanced Science and Engineering 2023" in New Zealand last December in collaboration with the University of Auckland. Following last year's event, the second symposium is scheduled to be held at UEC, with plans for the third to be hosted by the University of Auckland this year.
